Apple released an iOS 18.4 upgrade for iPhone last week that surprised users a lot, as it proved better when we compare it with the iOS 18 update while offering multiple excellent features i.e. Apple Intelligence Priority Notifications and new capabilities to ‘Siri’, as a Spokesperson stated;
New Shortcuts actions
The shortcut actions have small but effective upgrades, and can be used as the foundation for Siri’s upcoming upgrades, as it is included in Apple’s agenda to make changes in ‘Siri’. You can make changes to multiple app settings i.e. Safari, Apple Maps, Apple News, etc while using the Shortcuts app.
Determine the Important Notifications
Access to important notifications on your locked screen with the help of Apple Intelligence, as it will label the important popup as a priority. If you want to view all notifications, simply swipe up on the screen, or go to settings to turn on/off the Notifications option.
Extensive Keyboard Emojis
iOS 18.4 offers eight new emojis to make your texts and social media captions exciting i.e. a new fingerprint, harp, funky splatter, and one of the most lovely emojis, the smiley with sinking, etc.
Default Buttons Customization on the lock screen
The bottom corners of the iPhone lock screen can be used while pressing with your thumb, even if the screen is locked. Before the upgrade, these were managed via camera buttons, and couldn’t be changed.
Launch Visual Intelligence using the Action button
Visual Intelligence is the best upgrade updated in iOS 18.2 that was triggered by pressing the Camera Control. It was limited to use within iPhone 16 lineups. But, now with iOS 18.4, the feature will be handled via the Action button and expanded to the iPhone 15 Pro, the iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the iPhone 16e.
Customize your Home Screen
The position of apps can be changed in the way you like. No need to deal with wallpaper images of your kids or pets, instead they will adhere to a grid. Dark mode will also be available for the home screen of all types of iPhone devices.
Enhancements for Apple Photos
You have the option to enable and disable ‘Recently Viewed’ and ‘Recently Shared’ galleries, along with two new filtering options i.e. ‘Shared with you’ and ‘Not in an album’. It will help you to quickly access your required photo.
