Gmail is now syncing web signature with Android and iOS

Gmail signature has been available on the web version forever, and easy to carry it on your PC when we compare it with our smartphones. You need not manually add relevant contact information; instead, it will include all the information easily. However, Gmail weighs on your storage, and Google has made it possible to pull your web signature to your Android or iOS devices.
The first time it was highlighted it was uploaded by Artem Russakovskii, the co-founder of Android Police. He stated in a post on X;
“Interesting new feature in @gmail. I don’t have a separate mobile signature set in the Android app, so my emails from mobile never had a signature. As of a few days ago, my desktop Gmail’s signature is now being automatically used for replies and new emails on Android. I don’t…— Artem Russakovskii (@ArtemR) March 5, 2025
Gmail on Android will now automatically use your web signature for replies and new emails. You can control Gmail’s signature setting, i.e.
- For Android: Settings > email address > (under General) Mobile signature
- For iOS: Settings > Signature settings
If you don’t have a web signature on your Android device includes support for images, logos, and text formatting. First, you need to use the aforementioned process and set a custom mobile signature under the General section. For iOS devices, it is under the Settings option.
The roll-out for the Android signature is expected within a few weeks through Rapid Release channels. On iOS devices, the feature is activated according to the official blog post of Google. Currently, the update is available for all Google Workspace users, personal account holders, and Workspace Individual subscribers.
Workspace Extensions, currently known as Workspace apps, are available on smartphones in open beta for the Gemini app, but only for the users who have an enterprise/Workspace account for the Gemini App; it is expected to be available at the end of April, as it is stated;
“When enabled, Gemini can connect across your apps, like Gmail, Docs, Calendar, and Drive, to provide more contexts to your prompts without the need to switch between multiple apps.”
